In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, they attack similarly than their subspecies, Boo does and their attack consists of them coming behind Mario and Baby Mario or Luigi and Baby Luigi and attacking them and they may steal an item from them if they are attacked. If Dark Boo opens its left eye, it is planning to attack Mario and Baby Mario and if it opens its right eye, it plans to attack Luigi and Baby Luigi.
