In the era of war, the Hifune were a top battle clan who were lead by the great Hephaestus Hifune who was a famed combatant and the world's greatest craftsman. The clan would take many missions and fight many decisive battles that would earn them respect among their peer clans. They would later close down many of their weapons dealings to join the Uchiha and Senju's new shinobi village, Konohagakure, there they would pledge to only craft weapons for the Land of Fire and Konohagakure. As the years rolled on they would become less and less important as a clan as many members left the life of a shinobi and craftsmanship to be normal civilians
