During his skirmish with one of these warriors in 2254, in an illusion created by the Talosians, Captain Christopher Pike chose this weapon over the pike. (TOS: "The Cage" , "The Menagerie, Part II" ) A mace was among the transmuted weapons created by the Beta XII-A entity aboard the USS Enterprise in 2268. (TOS: "Day of the Dove" )

  • The Mace's description says, "A very powerful melee weapon. 20 swings per powerup." This is true, as the mace is the most powerful weapon. The Mace is not a reliable weapon for climbing walls, mainly due to the fact that its swings are short and it cant be swung several times over and over again, unlike the default Sword. The mace also shares this downside with the Big Sword. It is heavier than the regular sword, meaning that it makes the player fall faster. It is around the same weight as the Big Sword.

It is notable for being the only Semi-Finalist from Series 2 that did not perform worse in Series 3, improving one place on its previous performance. • A mace is a blunt weapon, usually composed of a heavy metal piece on the end of a long rod. Flails are characterized by a long swinging chain that connects the handle with a metal ball. Other maces have fearsome short edges, points and protrustions to add slashing damage. They are shorter than polearms and blunter than axes. The purpose of a mace is not to cut or slash like a sword or axe, but rather to smash and to crack. The game mechanics for maces are essentially the same as for other weapons.
  • A mace is technically a strong, heavy wooden, metal-reinforced shaft, or just a metal shaft, with a head made of stone, copper, bronze, iron, or steel - generally with flanges on its sides to increase the force of blows. However, in the Redwall series, the term has become a synonym for a club with protrusions, for instance spikes or arrowheads, regardless of its construction material. Maces are used to deliver crushing blows which can injure an armored opponent, and the addition of flanges and spikes allows the mace to punch through armor to inflict grievous injury on an opponent. However, weighing more, they're slower to swing in a fight.
  • A mace is a one-handed or two-handed blunt weapon, usually in the form of a large heavy metal piece (with a varying set of short edges, points, or protrusions) on a short rod. Humans have sword and mace specialization, which translates into 5 additional points of Expertise.
  • Vector Sigma must have had a glitch when he created Mace. She is one of the most dim-witted of all the Decepticons, yet also one of the strongest. Her simple nature makes it easy for her commander and anyone else to manipulate her. Although she serves the Decepticons, it is not clear why she is doing so. Mace is very compassionate towards Cybertronian and Terran animals, feeling them something that she can easily reason with. Mace does not like to be thought of as being stupid. Unfortunately, this is sometimes used to goad her into action, her peers insistently claiming that their enemies insulted her. During the Golden Age, Mace functioned as a construction worker, lifting heavy objects while they were welded into place. Partly due to this, Mace is also very patient when it comes to matte

  • A mace was a type of hand-held melee weapon. Designed like a club, a mace had a spiked head attached to a handle. On Rigel VII, this was one of the weapons available to a Kalar warrior. Unlike the pike and battle-axe, the mace didn't have decorative flourishes.
  • Mace is a burly, bulky, thickset, huge, glossy, sinewy black-and-tan male Fierce Dog with pricked ears, broad shoulders, a pointed snout, a jagged wound on one of his sharp cheeks, and a muscular, thick, dark, lean body.
  • Ex-Autobot disillusioned with oaths and philosophies. Believes only in the strength of a contract. The ultimate mercenary. 'Myriad Manus' on left hand can transform into any variety of tool or ranged weapon. Carries missile launcher in robot mode. Hydraulic ram on armored transport mode can topple all but the most solid structures. Remnants of Autobot training make him prone to doubt and suspicion.
  • When holding this out, jump, throw rocks, or use the Shield. Instead you can Duck, Block, or swing the Mace The only way of dropping this weapon in Dark Castle, Beyond Dark Castle, and Color Dark Castle, is by putting it back on the wall where it came from.
  • Mace is a Two-Handed style. Two-Handed weapons with the Mace style: * Starsoul's Mace : Gotham Sewers
  • A mace is a one-handed or two-handed blunt weapon, usually in the form of a large heavy metal piece (with a varying set of short edges, points, or protrusions) on a short rod. Some maces have the heavy piece on a swinging chain (commonly called a flail) or more fiercesome points and edges, but rarely a long enough pole to qualify as a polearm. The list of trainers can be found here: Weapons trainers. A popular sub-type is the hammer which resembles the more practical tool used in some professions. One-handed maces are often used by combat rogues because of their high delay and high damage range, and priests, shamans, and druids because many exist that give procs or attribute bonuses beneficial to casters. They can also be used by death knights. Two-handed maces can be used by death knights, druids, paladins, shamans, and warriors. According to Warcraft lore, the two-handed warhammer was the favored weapon of the Knights of the Silver Hand, led by Uther the Lightbringer. Following the death of Uther at the hands of Arthas and the devastation of the Order, the weapon fell out of favor as that exclusively used by paladins. Humans have sword and mace specialization, which translates into 5 additional points of Expertise. Significant maces: * [Verigan's Fist], the reward for completing the paladin quest The Test of Righteousness. * [The Unstoppable Force], available at Exalted reputation with respective Alterac Valley factions. * [Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros] * [Might of Menethil], an epic two-hand mace that dropped from Kel'Thuzad in Naxxramas. * [Hammer of the Naaru], another epic two-hand mace that drops from High King Maulgar in Gruul's Lair in Blade's Edge Mountains. * The Doomhammer, legendary weapon of the orc Warchief Orgrim Doomhammer.
  • Respected for its effectiveness and relatively cheap cost, it is a weapon likely to be used for ages to come. According to Vetron's Guide to Weapons and Armour, the mace has a "5" effectiveness rating. A special mace appearing in Pagan is the Slayer.

Partly due to this, Mace is also very patient when it comes to matters involving tedious and boring work. Mace carries with her a particle rifle, which she was issued by the Decepticons, and an energy mace, from which she now takes her name. In her hovertank mode she is equipped with many different types of artillery, and is able to run into most any structure without a scratch to her armored hide. Her lack of intelligence, combined with the fact she is fairly slow, makes her an easy target to either confuse or hit.

  • A Mace is a type of Magical Item which can be equipped on any Hero possessing an appropriate slot. The bonuses on the Mace will enhance that Hero's performance, particularly his/her Melee Attack. As with any Magical Item, Maces can have a total mix of up to 4 different bonuses and/or Item Enchantments. Maces are a compromise between the Sword's low Attack bonuses and high Defense bonuses, and the Axe's high attack bonuses and no Defense bonuses. Unfortunately, as a result of this compromise, Maces are often inferior to both other Melee weapon types. As with any other melee weapon, Maces can receive Item Enchantments that alter the Hero's attack, making it more dangerous in one way or another. Very few Maces will alter a Hero's Ranged Attack or other attack types (if he/she has any at all), and that is always thanks to specific Item Enchantments.
  • A simple striking weapon made of metal.
  • Mace was de naam van twee verschillende personages: * Mace Windu, de Korun Jedi Master. * Mace Towani, die met zijn familie op Endor neergestort was.
  • A Mace is a One-Handed weapon. It has a range of one tile and adds five Weightpoints. The Blacksmithing skill (4) can be used to craft Maces next to a Forge. One Board and one Ingot are needed. At shops they sell for 66 Gold. A Mace cannot be poisoned. From Blacksmithing Level 8 onwards GM Maces can be crafted with the same material, that have a longer durability than regular ones. If a Mace is infused with a Essence of Power, Essence of Speed or Essence of Durability, the weapon can be improved respectively to a Mace of Power, Mace of Speed or Mace of Durability.
  • Players can buy maces from bronze to adamant excluding black and white maces in Flynn's Mace Market in Falador or the Warriors' Guild Armoury. Rune maces can be bought from the Champions' Guild. Dragon maces can be bought from the Heroes' Guild and require the completion of the Heroes' Quest to be wielded. The white mace can be bought from the White Knight Master Armoury at Noble rank. Bronze to rune maces barring black and white maces can also be smithed using 1 bar of the respective metal. Although a flail is technically not a mace, the Verac's flail is classified as one, due to its Prayer bonus.
  • The Mace is a new weapon type introduced in Monster Hunter Frontier Ultimate 2. It fills the gap of a faster-paced impact weapon that can strike far faster than the Hammer and Hunting Horn.
  • This spice tastes and smells like a pungent version of Nutmeg, and for a very good reason ... mace is the bright red membrane that covers the nutmeg seed. After the membrane is removed and dried it becomes a yellow-orange color. It's sold ground and, less frequently, whole (in which case it's called a blade). Mace is used to flavor all manners of foods, sweet to savory.

Maces are special in that they provide a Prayer bonus, a trait not found among any of the common weapons. The mace also has a controlled attack style, giving equal experience to attack, strength, and defence. Maces are not considered one of the better weapon classes available and is widely disused.

  • Sgt. Colt "Mace" Howards is almost a legend. A longtime member of the Philadelphia Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) division, Mace has devised a wealth of unusual tactics to particular situations. An expert marksman with his laser bazooka and afraid of no man, Mace can often be seen single-highhandedly taking care of hostage situations or other standoffs. He has a vast assortment of state of the art weaponry at his disposal, and has absolutely no qualms about using it. Lucky for him, he knows how, and this knowledge of special weapons got him his job with the C.O.P.S. A broad jawed and broad shouldered powerhouse, Mace is surprisingly friendly and jovial, as long as you're a fellow officer. He has zero patience for criminals, and will not hesitate to resort to violence to get the word across. Mace does not follow the letter of the law, preferring to get the job done on his terms, but thankfully the results are usually positive and he's a great asset to the team. He is known for his tactical strategies, his laser "Mazooka," and his a secret love for the femme fatale Nightshade.

  • Maces are like clubs, but they have metal head instead. Maces are held in one hand, but due to weight of 10 lbs, they are slow weapons with a speed factor of 7. Most maces can be wielded by warriors, bards and clerics, if they have a strength of 10 points. They can inflict 2-7 points of crushing damage. Maces have their own weapon proficiency, except in Baldur's Gate, where it's in blunt weapon proficiency instead. * Maces can be given added features by applying a weightstone, enchantment, or a Rogue's poison. * Both one-handed and two-handed maces can be wielded by Death Knights, Paladins, Shamans, Druids, and Warriors. * Rogues and Priests can wield one-handed maces but not two-handed maces. * One-handed maces are often used by combat rogues because of the high delay and high damage range, and casters because many exist that provide useful procs and/or attributes. * Many one-handed and two-handed maces are crafted via the Blacksmithing process. Blacksmiths also produce weapon enhancements such as weapon chains and counterweights. * Humans and Dwarfs are specialized in wielding maces, which translates into 5 additional points of Expertise.
  • A Mace (Middle Mace in the Japanese version) is the first Mace-class weapon available in both Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age. In both games it is bought in the earliest towns the player's newly formed party can enter and explore; namely, the towns Vale and Vault in Golden Sun and the towns Daila and Madra in The Lost Age. Being a Mace-class weapon, an individual Mace can be equipped on Isaac, Garet, and Mia in the first game, together with Felix, Sheba, and Piers in the second. It increases the wielder's base Attack rating by 6 points. Its buy value is 80 coins and its sell value is 60 coins. In Golden Sun after the prologue sequences, the player begins in present-day Vale with a level-1 party of Isaac and Garet each holding a Short Sword and Jenna as a guest character holding a Wooden Stick, and 310 coins in your inventory. However, the Mace is not at all a helpful thing to invest in at the town's vendor because it does actually less damage than the two Short Swords Isaac and Garet start out with, and Jenna is unable to equip a mace (and neither is Ivan, and Mia joins the party later in the game with a far stronger weapon in her inventory). It would actually be a waste of limited money to buy a normal mace in the first game any way you look at it. In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, though, there might be a vague hint of merit in buying a mace in that game's first town of Daila because Sheba, who starts out with an even weaker Wooden Stick, is able to equip it (she can also be equipped with the Shaman's Rod that Felix's inventory starts out with, though, but that weapon might be better off equipped on Jenna at the game's start anyway). Stronger weapons for the party would be found pretty quickly over the course of the game's first legs, so pretty much every player would neglect to give the mace any consideration in either game.

  • Mace was a competitor robot that fought in Series 2 of Robot Wars, and in Series 3 as Mace 2. It reached the Semi-Finals in both appearances, being eliminated at the Gauntlet stage in Series 2 after a 'race-off' against Panic Attack, and the second round in Series 3 after being flipped over by Chaos 2. It is notable for being the only Semi-Finalist from Series 2 that did not perform worse in Series 3, improving one place on its previous performance. Mace had a brief grudge against Team Chaos, which began when it defeated Chaos in its Series 2 Heat Final. This was avenged in Mace 2's Series 3 Semi-Final battle against Chaos 2, who flipped it over and won. Team Mace also entered Series 4 and 5, and the first series of Robot Wars Extreme, with the clusterbot Gemini, with mixed success.

The mace was used extensively by Sunflash the Mace, which gave him his name. When first escaping from Swartt Sixclaw's band, Sunflash uprooted a tree trunk. Although it was at that time technically a club, after some time he added spearheads and arrowheads to make it a true mace. He carried it into battle even after he became the Badger Ruler of Salamandastron.
