  • Raid bosses are bosses which require a raid to defeat. Typically players only encounter raid-bosses from level 60 and upwards. Their level is often unknown and thus depicted by a skull instead of the level. Note that, alhough each of these bosses have a recommended raid size, they may be done with fewer players. Each boss was tuned for raid group of the size listed at the time of their introduction, but new equipment and raised level caps may make the fights easier than they once were.
  • Raid Bosses are unusually powerful Heartless which are encountered after killing approximately 70-75 Heartless. The Raid Boss spawned depends on which mission you last completed. Raid Bosses all have at least one weak point which can be targeted; defeating one of these weak points delays the enemy's turn by one round. * Behemoth * Darkside * Guard Armor * Trickmaster
  • Raid Bosses disrupt the flow of the story, and must be defeated by the player in order for the story to be continued. However, if the Raid Boss escapes due to the expiration of the timer, then the story can also be continued regardless.
  • A second, somewhat hidden raid boss was also included. Vermivorous the Invincible is the most advanced metamorphosis that a varkid can reach. Though it can theoretically be encountered at any level and with any number of players on True or Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode (it cannot spawn on Normal Mode), the chance of a varkid progressing through the necessary metamorphoses is highest with four level 72 characters. Vermivorous also has health far in excess of Terramorphous, estimated at around 200% of Terramorphous's health.
  • A raid boss is a considerably strong pest that can be fought with the assistance of other players. Defeating a raid boss gives rewards to all participants. Furthermore, the person who found the raid boss will get an additional reward so long as they participate in fighting with the raid boss. Raid bosses sometimes appear upon clearing a subjugation. You will have the option to go after the raid boss immediately or leave it alone. Upon sighting a raid boss, everyone involved will have a limited time to defeat the raid boss before it runs away. The time left to defeat the raid boss is typically two hours, but a rare five minute raid boss may also appear.
