| abstract | - Emmett Milbarge is, originally, an Efficiency Expert sent by Buy More corporate headquarters to evaluate the staff and procedures of the Burbank branch store. He is portrayed by Tony Hale. Big Mike, who prefers to minimize his own workload and who dreads interviewing his own employees for promotions, kept Emmett on and made him assistant manager, which the Buy More employees tend to shorten the title into "ass man". Emmett is promoted to the position of store manager of the Burbank Buy More after tricking Morgan and the other Buy More employees into making him look good (and simultaneously making Big Mike look bad). He has a girlfriend named Henrietta who works at the Buy More Ontario branch in Accounts Payable. In "Chuck Versus the Pink Slip", a Ring assassin, Javier Cruz, comes looking for Chuck at the Buy More after hours, running into Emmett. When Emmett tells him that Chuck no longer works at the Buy More, the assassin initially refuses to leave. Emmett threatens to Mace the assassin, causing him to leave. However, as he is walking away, Emmett refers to the assassin as a "pussy", prompting the assassin to pull out his pistol and shoot Emmett through the right lens of his eyeglasses, killing him instantaneously. After Chuck and Casey have re assumed their jobs at the Buy More, Casey states that it is rumored that Emmett took a job at Large Mart in Anchorage, Alaska, which is what Chuck believes. However, Casey had previously discovered Emmett's body outside of the Buy More on a security camera, yet neglects to tell Chuck the truth. It is unknown whether or not the other employees (or the general public) know the real fate of Emmett. The NBC website, parodying a memorial website of the character [1], acknowledges that he was killed. The latter source may not be canon, however.
