Zuke was drafted 79th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft and 47th overall by the Indianapolis Racers in the 1974 WHA Amateur Draft. He chose to go with the Racers and turned pro with them in the 1976-77 season. In 1977 he was traded to the Edmonton Oilers and spent one year there. In 1978 Zuke jumped to the NHL with St. Louis. He played five seasons for the Blues, scoring a personal high 68 points in 1980-81. In 1983 he was claimed by the Hartford Whalers and played three seasons there, retiring in 1986. He played 455 career NHL games, scoring 86 goals and 196 assists for 282 points. In the WHA he scored 26 goals and 38 assists in 86 games. He was an assistant coach for the junior Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds from 1993 to 1998.
