Synopsis
  • Andrew Bennett and Mary, Queen of Blood have traveled into the past using the Rings of Kur-Alet. They have switched places with their past selves to attend the costume party where they will announce their engagement. Bennett uses his powers to rescue a girl from being murdered by witch-hunters. Traveling to the costume party, he dances with Mary who he does not realize is her future self. Suddenly the witch-hunters burst in led by the girl, and declare that they are searching for a monster. The past Andrew Bennett breaks free of his ropes and comes to interrupt the party. Together they reveal the future Bennett's disguise, and try to kill him as an abomination. Mary accidentally reveals herself, but realizes she trapped her past self to die in the burning building. After making sure both of their past selves have survived, Andrew and Mary travel forward through time into Manhattan.
Notes
  • * Deborah Dancer and Dmitri Mishkin appear on the cover to this issue, but not inside the story. The cover also shows the vampire who bit Andrew Bennett in his first appearance, although he does not appear in this story either.
