He then goes on an extended rant against Jim Davis and the Garfield book, Garfield: His 9 Lives in which he proclaims that half of the stories are not funny and some of which are deeply disturbing such as "Primal Self", in which it is suggested that he kills his elderly owner. Peter offers to give Jim a pass because of the normal laughs given by the strip but notes that Garfield: His 9 Lives frightened him so bad that he needed to sleep with his mother, Thelma Griffin for a week.

- Garfield is a character created by Switch - On - 97, for his story Invasion Core. He is an aquos brawler, and his partner is Aquafibian. He has a slightly complicated role in the story, having been a team member of Team Generation, and having joined the Neo Brawlers. During a battle at the Tower of Power, a building created by the Fabregians, he lost the one that he loved, a Gundalian Super Soldier. Then, the Fabregians meddled with the timeline, and attempted to make all who knew her forget her. However, Garfield was unaffected because of his Realital Gene. It allowed him to maintain his memories, and made him seem that much stranger to his friends. He had given up brawling, and told Aquafibian to find another partner. It was only when a member of The Neo Brawlers came to find him that he

In addition to the various merchandise and commercial tie-ins, the strip has spawned several animated television specials, two animated television series, two theatrical feature-length live-action films and three CGI animated direct-to-video movies. Part of the strip's broad appeal is due to its lack of social or political commentary; though this was Davis's original intention, he also admitted that his "grasp of politics isn't strong," remarking that, for many years, he thought "OPEC was a denture adhesive".

Garfield in "Garfield and Friends". The episode title also references a television series about the cat. Hayley recalls ordering a Garfield doormat that failed to show up in the mail in "Fight and Flight". When she believes a package for Klaus was misdelivered to the south extension of the street, she suggests they try there. The owner denies having Klaus' shoes, but when Hayley spies the missing doormat that she ordered, they burst in with guns drawn and hold the owner hostage. Hayley later gets a call from Jeff telling her that Klaus' package was in the bushes at the house and she also admits that perhaps she didn't really buy the doormat either.

On June 18, 1978, when Jon came to the store, he had to choose between Garfield, an iguana, and a pet rock. In his cartoon appearances, Garfield usually causes mischief in every episode. In June 1983, comic strips introduced Amoeba Man, one of Garfield's alter-egos, yet he was only shown in six strips. In February 2010, another alter ego was introduced called Super Garfield, and his sidekick Odie boy. Amoeba Man, and Super Garfield are only two of his few imaginary alter egos though, his most common one being the Caped Avenger. And for a very short period of time, Garfield would fall prey to various dogs e.g. Bungee Dog, Warm up dog etc. Which would squish him in any direction. It is also given that Garfield uses the "sandbox" on occasion, such as in one 1978 strip, he says he hates commercials because they're too short for a trip to the sandbox. It was revealed on October 27, 1979, that he doesn’t like raisins. He is 8 years old (Pet[1]Matchers). His birthday is June 19, 1978, the day the first Garfield strip was published. Interestingly, on Garfield's 25th anniversary in 2003, several strips were featured with him interacting with the version of him from 1978. Garfield frequently gets into many adventures, such as getting stuck in roll-up shades, sparring with mice, and getting locked up in animal shelters. In 2005, Garfield and Jon appeared in several comic strips of Blondie in honor of their 75th anniversary. Garfield got excited because he didn't have to think. There was an earlier Blondie crossover on the Garfield strip published April 1, 1997. Garfield was one of the cartoon characters featured in Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue, although he was the only character to be used without the permission of his creator Jim Davis.

- Garfield is the name of a daily comic strip that has run for upwards of 30 years. The eponymous Garfield is a cat. He's fat. He's orange. He hates Mondays as much as he loves sleeping. You can find his website here. Like Calvin and Hobbes, it is somewhat bizarre to find fanfiction for Garfield. Comic strips consist of fat, lazy Garfield commenting on his goofy owner, kicking his housemate dog Odie off the counter, and eating large amounts of lasagna. There was a cartoon show in the vein of the comic strip, and it kept the tone fairly consistent—and also some live action/CG movies of questionable quality that may have boosted its popularity. Why any Suvian would ever go to this continuum is unknown. But it happens. It's just more proof that Mary Sues cannot be fathomed. (Note: Arlene was prety much a Sue from the start. So no sneaky attacking the canon character...)

He likes coffee, but must have it decaffeinated except for every once in a while, or else he will die. No explanation has been given as to how Garfield gets hyper from decaf. Onions must also be consumed sparingly. Also, Garfield's face is so retarded that the retardedness spreads like the Weegee Virus, as you can see in the image. Sometimes, he also gets bored enough to attack those who aren't mailmen or table-dogs. Garfield made Odie really die for life and exploded and Jon cried.

Peter offers to give Jim a pass because of the normal laughs given by the strip but notes that Garfield: His 9 Lives frightened him so bad that he needed to sleep with his mother, Thelma Griffin for a week. Peter is hesitant to let down a drawbridge to the house in "A Fistful of Meg" until Lois reveals she picked up a copy of Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties at the video store. It was only when a member of The Neo Brawlers came to find him that he took up brawling again. He, along with the Neo Brawlers, Team Generation, Dan, Spectra, Mira, Fabia, Shun, and Marucho, are currently in Bakugan Valley, trying to unlock their inherent powers with their Bakugan. He was called upon by Chronogian when the entire group was sleeping, to come and help Atom, Tom, Dan and Azion take down Spectra when he had both Drago and Leonidas. He was summoned not to win, but to help with a strategy Atom came up with. He returned to Bakugan Valley to find Cameron looking for him.
