To make the sapphire lantern, the player must use a cut sapphire on a normal or unlensed bullseye lantern. If the lantern used had a lens, the player will receive a lens in their inventory. After the player is finished using the sapphire lantern, he or she may use a bullseye lantern lens to convert it back into a normal bullseye lantern and retrieve the sapphire. Level 49 Crafting is not required if the lens is swapped for a cut sapphire in an already completed lantern.
