- The Patrimony of Ires (Iresmouth: Sanoi Patorak N'Airas, "Great Fatherland of Ires"), often the Irelenner Isles or Ires was one of the Nine Departments of the Delkish Empire before 29th. That all changed with the birth of Yami Oyu, better known as the infamous Fatherkiller. He convinced his father Kashi Oyu to build up an army when he was just a young teenager, and the rice lord eventually made war with the nearwesterners, and Farwesterners alike. He even made war with the last holdouts of the Southern Empire, destroying the Seventeen Towns of the Claw. Yami Oyu then killed his father, and subjugated both the Far West, and the near west. He enslaved the Sanolki, and had them build the Great Bridge of the Far West so that he might consolidated his power. His daughter, never quite his equal, but still quite formidable, killed him, and married the Great Emperor of the Forest Patilk Laochalk, joining together the houses of Oyu, and Laochalk even until CC: 5,217 when the House of Laochalk finally went extinct. While they knew they would never be able to control all the Far West, they engineered a way for them to avoid punishment. Ires was controlled by the House of Oyu until Aye the Queen's Invasion of Ires. The name "Ires" comes from the Iresmouth word Airas, and from the Lobott word "ire." In Iresmouth Airas is a word that means city, in reference to its capitals. On the Claw, Airas is pronounced Airash, sometimes spelled that way or as Airass or Airaş.
