It was the birthplace of the Golden Empire and encompassed the entirety of the Empire prior to the Great Liberation. The Romasi sector was the site of early turbulence and violence in the Empire's history; Yin, Quadia, Tershin, and several other planets were attacked by the Tetrarchy of Mezlagob during the Great Liberation. Once the Tetrarchy was conquered, a period of relative stability came to the sector until the Ssi-ruuvi Incursion, when the Ssi-ruuk invaded from the south. Iomis and Zorabos were the sites of battles between the Ssi-ruuvi invaders and the Royal Navy under Sorrik before Rin forged an alliance with the P'w'ecks and drove the Ssi-ruuk out. The Romasi sector again came under attack during the Nightmare War. The Battle of Feldirjo was a stunning loss for the Reawakened, but the Consul and Tribune of Iomis were both assassinated and the sector heavily garrisoned before the Dark Jedi and their army were finally defeated. Despite its difficult position as the southern border of the early Golden Empire, the Romasi sector had a reputation for intense loyalty to the Empire and Rin Sakaros personally.
