It's finished, and surprising they chose not to include it. They did run out of levels though, for cheats, maybe wanted to be consistent. (Source: SubDrag)

GoldenEye was the second and last Bond film to be adapted as a novel by then-current Bond novelist John Gardner. The novelisation was based upon the film's screenplay by Bruce Feirstein and Jeffrey Caine. GoldenEye was subsequently adapted into a highly regarded video game for the Nintendo 64 by Rareware. In the Autumn of 2004, Electronic Arts released GoldenEye: Rogue Agent for Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and later the Nintendo DS. The game has little to do with either the film GoldenEye or the N64 game. In 2010, Activision and Eurocom produced a re-imagining of the N64 Goldeneye game. Originally a Wii/DS exclusive, it was later released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 as Goldeneye: Reloaded.

GoldenEye was the first Bond film made after thedissolution of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, which provided a background for the plot. The film accumulated a worldwide gross of US$350.7 million, considerably better than Dalton's films, without taking inflation into account. Some critics viewed the film as a modernisation of the series, and felt Brosnan was a definite improvement over his predecessor. The film also received award nominations for "Best Achievement in Special Effects" and "Best Sound" from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The name "GoldenEye" pays homage to James Bond's creator, Ian Fleming. While working for British Naval Intelligence as a lieutenant commander, Ian Fleming liaised with the AmericanOSS to monitor developments in Spain after the Spanish Civil War in an operation codenamed Operation Goldeneye. Fleming used the name of his operation for his estate in Oracabessa, Jamaica.

- Pierce Brosnan ignites the screen as James Bond in this explosive, thrill-packed adventure that hits the bull’s-eye for nonstop excitement. When a deadly satellite weapon system falls into the wrong hands, only Agent 007 can save the world from certain disaster. Armed with his license to kill, Bond races to Russia in search of the stolen access codes for “GoldenEye”, an awesome space weapon that can fire a devastating electromagnetic pulse toward Earth. But 007 is up against an enemy who anticipates his every move: Alec Trevelyan, a.k.a. Agent 006 (Sean Bean), a mastermind motivated by years of simmering hatred. As Bond squares off against his former compatriot, he also battles Trevelyan’s stunning ally, Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen), an assassin who uses pleasure as her ultimate weapon. When the horrifying extent of Trevelyan’s plans is revealed, Bond must call upon his sharp wits and killer instincts in an edge-of-your-seat confrontation to the finish. From a destructive tank chase through the streets of St. Petersburg to a special effects-laden climax in the Cuban jungle, GoldenEye is a breathtaking thrill ride that ranks as one of the best and most popular action films ever made.
