He hails from the planet Farlifray where the superior race were called the FarT Lords. The planet was destroyed after an attack from one of The Master's childhood Friend, The Doctor. The Doctor did so because of pure hatred towards the world as he got lost at a tender age and then was raised by a pack of Dermativs in one of his planet's forests.
