| abstract | - Born to a middle-class family on Eriadu, Yarin was taken from his family at the age of three by the Jedi. He grew up on Coruscant, learning the ways of the Jedi under Master Gnost-Dural, the Jedi historian. Yaris excelled at lightsaber combat but struggled to master his anger. When he was twenty, the Sith Empire invaded the territories of the Galactic Republic, thereby starting the Great Galactic War. The Jedi were used as generals during this war, and Yarin was given command of a company of Republic soldiers known as Hellfire Group. Tarin led Hellfire to glory on many occasions. One such occasion was at the Battle of Sluis Van, when Hellfire captured two enemy ships simultaneously and used them against the Sith. Eventually, however, the battle was lost and Yarin was forced to retreat with Hellfire in order to survive. During the Battle of Seswenna, Yarin was captured by the Sith and tortured for months on Dromund Kaas. Eventually, Yarin let his anger and hatred overwhelm him and he killed his captors with the Dark side of the Force. After this, he escaped from Dromund Kaas but was found by the Sith when he was wandering on Dxun. After dueling four Dark Jedi at once and killing three, Yarin was finally bested by the final one. He was then given the offer of training as a Sith on Korriban or to die. Yarin chose to live. On Korriban, Yarin's Jedi training proved useful in getting an edge over the other students. He was already proficient in lightsaber combat and the use of the Force but now, according to his new masters, he would need to learn to use his emotions to aid in these. He was also taught Force powers that the Jedi would not have taught him, such as Force Lightning. Eventually, Yarin was made a Dark Jedi and sent to fight alongside Sith forces under the command of Lord Angral. He arrived on Bothawui as a large battle was raging on the planet's surface. Yarin landed on the planet and immediately joined the Sith assault on the entrenched Republic forces, who he knew to be under the command of Master Bellth Allusis. When he joined the fighting, Yarin realized that some of the Republic forces fighting against the Sith were none other than Hellfire Group. Yarin, who believed that Hellfire Group had abandoned him at Seswenna, killed a great many of them before fighting other elements of the Republic force. Eventually, the battle ended in a draw and Yarin was given his next mission by Baras. He was to lead the Sith forces during the Sacking of Coruscant. Yarin commanded the Sith fleet during the battle and laid waste to Coruscant's surface. He himself piloted a fighter craft and engaged in a dogfight above the surface. During the Cold War, Yarin was used by the Sith to kill anybody whom they thought could threaten the Sith's dominance of the galaxy. Yarin killed Jedi such as Aerim Farn, Yakolt Thex and Bene Col because they had themselves killed many Dark Jedi. Eventually, Yarin took up permanent residence on Dromund Kaas, where he lived for the rest of his life. Shortly after his death, the Republic attacked the Sith Empire. After another long and bloody war, the Sith were forced from the galaxy.
