- This summon is a colossal worm-like animal, that has a giant Rinnegan eye in its mouth, implying its master is a wielder of the Rinnegan.
- The giant worm is the protagonist in Worm Food. He is the last of an extinct species of giant worms.
- They will continuously spawn, up to a maximum of around 11, so it is advised that players touch the respective artefact as soon as possible to prevent a large number of Giant worms from being coughed up. If the artefact is not activated after the maximum number of worms has spawned, the player will begin to take continuous heavy damage from the artefact.
- The Giant Worm is a two-headed, worm-like monster that dwelled by the seashore. A conjoined twin, one brother speaks with a high-pitched voice (Tim Curry), while the other brother speaks with a deep-pitched voice (Phil LaMarr). According to legend, the Worm is a magical creature that can grant any wish.
- When encountering them, the player must shoot the inside of their mouths. Shooting the outside is less effective. Keep moving and shooting, and stay clear when it is jumping, otherwise you will die instantly. If you have the Flamethrower, half a Second is enough to instantly kill it, making it a very easy Enemy to defeat
- The Giant Worm is an enemy that can be found underground. It is capable of quickly moving through walls (so you are not safe in a home with a background), and emits a characteristic shuffling sound as it moves through blocks that grows louder as it approaches the player. New or unsuspecting players may be caught by surprise due to their often sudden appearance.

- A species of Worm found in Mostal's Graveyard in the Wastelands Source: Guide to Glorantha
Even for a player equipped with low tier gear, the Giant Worms' damage output and HP count is fairly low so you can pretty much ignore them while mining as your pickaxe will eventually kill them anyway. The most dangerous part is the knockback, which can easily fling a careless player flying into lava or a deep hole. While mostly an annoyance later in the game, Giant Worms can be difficult for newer players to kill because of their speed, and their tendency to "hit and run" behind walls where the player can not quickly follow. Giant Worms also tend to follow players around, and can even follow them to the surface. It is best to fight them in an open area, rather than a small cave or tunnel. Although they are in the background, players can hit them with any weapon as they pass by, and can even hit them through walls if their weapons can reach.
