| abstract | - Jim Romine is a former NASCAR driver from Youngstown, OH. He competed in four Nextel Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. Romine's debut came in 1951, when he competed at Canfield. Starting positions in all of his races that year are unknown, but Romine had a very respectable 15th place finish there. He was even more impressive at Bainbridge, finishing a career-best 10th place there before closing out his year 24th at Pittsburgh. Romine's final career race waited until 1954, when the driver competed at the famed Daytona Beach Road Course. Starting 15th in the field of sixty-two, Romine completed just 25 of the 39 laps before an engine failure ultimately doomed him to 47th.
