Fortunately for him, he was taken by a Jedi Knight to be his Padawan just prior to the issuance of Order 66. For the next several years, the Jedi Knight trained Adil in the ways of the Force and lightsaber combat, until eventually he, too, was killed. Adil, at about the time of the Battle of Hoth, had become powerful enough to be considered a Jedi Knight, but seldom let his identity be known, even to the Rebellion. Instead, he served during the Civil War as a mercenary, of sorts, assisting the Rebellion in any way he could. He never received a formal rank, and his requested payment was just enough to get by on. It was not until long after the Battle of Endor, when Jedi from all reaches of space were called to Midpoint Station, that Adil made his identity known. A Jedi Master at this point, he eventually found his way to the City of the Jedi, and defended the planet from the Xen'Chi attack on the planet. Later, he would go on to become a member of the Guardians of Life. Adil took up an apprentice during his journeys, Gianne Matrye, and was seen by her to be a very influential, if not bitter, individual. However, both Adil and Gianne would see their deaths during the Hunt for Sion, as both were victims of the Lord of Terror's hunger.
