In truth, however, Megatronus did survive, and his ind was twisted by Galvatron, leading him to believe that he had been abandoned by the Autobots, and he became the wicked Decepticon Megatron. After Galvatron mysteriously dissapeared, Megatron became leader of the Decepticons. Although it appeared that the Decepticons had been defeated, megatron secretly worked to rebuild the once-glorious Decepticon Empire.
