Upon her escape, Dr. Fitch compiled a team (consisting of Preston Lennox, Dr. Laura Baker, Dan Smithson, and Dr. Stephen Arden) to track her down. Dr. Fitch and his team pursue Sil across L.A., following various sightings and murder reports. They nearly catch her before she fakes her own death by crashing a car. Believing they have succeeded in their mission, the group heads back to their hotel where Dr. Arden sleeps with, impregnates and is killed by Sil. Dr. Fitch and the remaining team cashes Sil into the sewer. Dr. Fitch is killed during the search by Sil.
