The insane botanist creates a serum that turns Konga into a ferocious gorilla-sized ape, then he mesmerizes the chimp and sends him kill all his former enemies. Konga killed many people, one of his victim was Bob Kenton, one of Decker's students and the lover of Sandra Banks, another students that Decker wants for himself. Decker attempts to seduce Sandra after Bob's death, but Margaret, his assistant and current girlfriend, became jealous and tried to get revenge by giving a large amount of serum to Konga then ordered him to attack Decker and Sandra. However, the serum transforms the ape into a giant monster. He killed Margaret before he caught Dr. Decker then he ravaged the city. He finally killed Decker but he was attacked and killed by the British army. Upon his death, he reverts to a chimpanzee.
  • Konga was a witch doctor who had the power to control plants and ruled over the Konkas, a tribe that once inhabited a city in Kongoland. The city was buried in an earthquake 1000 years ago, but Konga vowed that it would rise again and that the person who found his treasure would inherit his power. Thanks to the greed of Mother Brain and her minions, Princess Lana was possessed by the spirit of Konga when his headdress landed on her head. She gained incredible powers that she used to create Monsterplants and a Plant T-Rex, which was defeated by Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong eventually managed to free Lana from Konga's control by destroying the headdress, causing all the Monsterplants to vanish and the city to sink into oblivion.

The Deckers are killed in the chaos and the military shoots Konga down. When he died he reverted to his original simian state. Bob and Sandra look on in horror and mourn the loss of their mentor.
