  • Paul was a Weatherfield Borough Council member who with Helena invited themselves over to 4 Coronation Street to share a "sundowner" with Sally Metcalfe one evening in June 2016. Sally boasted to next-door neighbour Yasmeen Nazir that they were very "top-tier" and claimed that her supposed disinterest in the news was "sweet" fibs. Riled by Sally, Yasmeen suggested to Tim Metcalfe that he should christen his new shed in the garden by having some of his friends over to sample his home brew and not to worry about the noise. Tim took the bait, hook, line and sinker, so that when Sally and her friends arrived they found Tim, Freddie Smith, Dev Alahan, Ken Barlow and Kevin Webster swigging back the beer, sat on deck chairs (some helpfully provided by Yasmeen) and with music pounding out of Tim's sound system. Sally tried to apologise, saying that Tim did a lot of work with underprivileged people and suggested they retire to Nick's Bistro but by that time the two new guests had had a taste of Tim's beer and found it very much to their liking. They told the group of their days as party animals frequenting the clubs of Manchester and Sally quickly claimed she enjoyed a good dance much the same as them as an annoyed Yasmeen looked on.
