He started playing drums at the age of eight and gained first success for drumming in bands like Blues Generation (1967), Trilogy (1968), White Lightning (1970) amongst others. Later he played in other hard rock groups like Goldstreet, This Oness and Brainiac. Then he performed in the local bands The Mustang Brothers, Kings of Classic Rock and Chicago Producers Circle, before he was asked to play for Eric Sardinas and Big Motor from 2008-2011. He now owns Bad Jack Studios.

He started playing drums at the age of eight and gained first success for drumming in bands like Blues Generation (1967), Trilogy (1968), White Lightning (1970) amongst others. Later he played in other hard rock groups like Goldstreet, This Oness and Brainiac. Pershey later became a session musician for acts like Olivia Newton-John, Chuck Berry, Dwight Twilley, Jennifer Batten before he played for Edgar Winter from 1988-1990. He was also part of the Walter Trout Band from 1992-2000, recorded several albums and played TV shows. He also played for Eric Burdon & The Animals and Beth Hart from 2001-2005. Then he performed in the local bands The Mustang Brothers, Kings of Classic Rock and Chicago Producers Circle, before he was asked to play for Eric Sardinas and Big Motor from 2008-2011. He now owns Bad Jack Studios.
