- The holy avenger "Justifier" is an artifact in ADOM. In ADOM v 1.1.1 and some earlier versions, the artifact can only be generated by crowning. Justifier is a one-handed sword that slays demons and undead. It also has special hidden properties that cause it to deal double damage when wielded by a Paladin, and half its expected damage output when wielded by other classes. This property made it unfair for Priests to receive as it a crowning gift, so starting in 1.2.0 they can no longer do so [1].

| Desirability | - Justifier is a truly excellent weapon in the rightful hands of a Paladin, and usually the best one-handed weapon they can get . For Priests prior to v 1.2.0, its damage potential was too mediocre to make a useful weapon. As of 1.2.0 any class can find it in a surge of power or as a precrowning gift; though similarly to Priests prior to 1.2.0, it is not very useful to all but Paladins.
