  • Luminoth Webbing
rdfs:comment
  • Luminoth Webbing is not named in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, however it is referred to as such by the Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Bonus Disc. It is the first obstacle that Samus faces after crashlanding on Aether. Despite this name, however, its scan in the final game indicates that it is instead most likely created and/or used by the spider-like creatures known as Splinters. It contains a shell that breaks when Samus shoots it, with the rest of the web fading. Samus encounters the entire web, or just shells, in Landing Site, Hive Chamber A, Hive Tunnel and Transport to Agon Wastes.

Weblings in the same game have an identical structure as Luminoth Webbing except for having a darker shade of color and possessing an eyeball in the center instead of a shell. They are described by their "Dark Webbing" in the Bonus Disc, so it is possible that they may be Luminoth Webbing Darklings.
