Chaos Warbands invading from the north are simply a fact of life for the Ostlanders, and such harsh living as bred these people into a war-like society like their brethrens of Nordland and Middenland. Being the descendants of the ancient Udoses tribe of Sigmarian times, the Ostland people have since earned themselves a reputation amongst the Imperial provinces as a stubborn yet patriotic citizenry, who have fought, bled, and endured countless invasions since even before the founding of the very Empire itself.[1a]
