In 8 ABY, Sarne's sector capital, Kal'Shebbol, fell to the New Republic. As Sarne retreated, he ordered Governor Manon Flint to hold the docks at all costs from New Republic aggression. The planet would prove problematic to the New Republic as it sought to expand its influence throughout the sector.
