In 5312 a disease broke out from Yasefe and Raman was one of thoe preparing to flee, but was ordered to the palace by Me'emen who inquired him about the plague, and if he knew that the Healers cured the previous plague. Raman replied that the Healers must keep the ancient books to other Ages to study in safety, but to stay in the cavern would be suicide. Me'emen was disappointed by his answer and cursed him to never see the lake again. After the plague was cured, Raman, along with Grand Master Shemef and Anem, were restricted from the Guild and forbidden to enter it, the palace, or any of the royal dwellings and structures.
