Master liches use confusion and glowing balls from distance, summon other undead and have paralyzing melee attack . While they cannot drain PC's stats, they are still able to curse items or the PC himself/herself. They also have a healing spell, which completely restores all their HP when cast.
As all undead, they are vulnerable to undead-slaying weapons and ammunition. As master liches are not significantly dangerous in melee, it is possible to simply use high-damaging weapons.
