When the Jedi reached Hypori, they found Darth Sidious holding Captain Carlstein as a prisoner. Sidious also was holding Maul prisoner after defeating him in a lightsaber duel. Mariah, Larana, Kaila, Ayessa, and Aeshi ignited their lightsabers and confronted the evil Sith Master. The five Jedi engaged Sidious in a lightsaber duel. During the duel, Kaila convinced Maul to help them. Maul helped the five Jedi in their battle against Darth Sidious. With the help of Mariah Atar, Larana Aah'valia, Kaila Murtode, Ayessa Maximus, and Aeshi Fal-Cona, Maul defeated his Master. Mariah, Larana, Kaila, Ayessa, and Aeshi rescued Captain Carlstein. Mariah, Larana, Kaila, Ayessa, Aeshi, Maul, and Captain Carlstein returned to Coruscant in the Star Eagle, with Sidious as their prisoner.
