He also co-starred with Stanley Adams and Dean Stockwell in the TV movie Cop on the Beat in 1975. He acted as Casino in the famous TV series Garrison's Gorillas (1967-1968). Solari made his film debut with a brief appearance in the 1961 classic Judgment at Nuremberg, which also featured Joseph Bernard and Solari's TOS co-star William Shatner. His last film appearance was a lead role in the 1978 drama The Boss' Son, co-starring James Darren. Solari died of cancer in 1991 at the age of 56. A popular acting coach and theater director, Solari once had a theater named after him. It has since been renamed.
