Synopsis

  • Batman and Robin tangle with three thieves dressed in devil outfits. The thieves are incredible acrobats and elude capture. Batman suspects they will try to take the stolen loot to one of two fences, to sell it. He stakes out one place, and springs into action when the crooks arrive. Batman gets knocked out, by hitting his head on a table while ducking a bullet, so the devils escape again, but Robin trails them to their hide-out, an abandoned subway tunnel, loses a fight, and is left in the path of an onrushing subway train, but flattens himself between the rails allowing it to pass over him. The Dynamic Duo is then able to prevent the crooks from succeeding in their next job, pursue them to the observation floor of a clock tower, have one more high-altitude, stunt-heavy fight, and leave the knocked-out bad guys for the police.
  • The Crimson Avenger investigates a situation in which large numbers of cattle are dying of thirst despite a plentiful water supply. He discovers that two racketeers have taken control of the water and are not letting the ranchers use it. The Crimson Avenger pits the racketeers against one another. Hammond is killed, but Coe survives and faces off against the Avenger. The costumed crimefighter overcomes the crooks and proves that the racketeers did not own the water. Coe is arrested, and the cattle problem is solved.
  • Slam and Shorty try to stop a thief that has robbed actress Arla Thomas. The thief escapes, so Arla reports the jewels as stolen to the insurance company. Slam and Shorty join the insurance investigation team and are attacked by thugs. They follow clues that lead them to Rollo Swain, an associate of Thomas who stole the jewels. They learn that Swain, Thomas, and insurance investigator Jeff Josephs were all working together on a fraud scheme to cheat the insurance company.
