Thus they do not enjoy the company of other races on their worlds unless their is some sort of trading involved and have a tendency to be xenophobic otherwise. Haakonish prefer to live in fully-enclosed biospheres of their homeworld's flora and fauna on their colony worlds. if push comes to shove they'll around the coastal regions of earth-like and hot swamp planets. Haakonish are drawn towards well designed or very complicated technology. They pride themselves in designing and building equipment or technologies with many advanced features, even if many of these "features" are unnecessary or not what a buyer asked for. The natural inclination of the Haakonish towards addition and advancement has led them to develop the High Density Fuel Cell, a high-capacity fuel tank. This gives Haakonish star ships longer range and endurance to explore and fight without the need to refuel quickly. During the Initial invasion of Shakturi, the Haakonish were a relatively successful nation as their many businesses were prevalent throughout the galaxy. despite being a wealthy empire, the Haakonish could not defend themselves against the Shakturi armada,their planet destroyers, and the Shaktur Axis. Even with their failed attempts to repel the invasions of their worlds they decline to join the Freedom Alliance. When the Alliance had freed the galaxy from Shakturi rule using the their artificial virus, the Haakonish, like rest of other species lost the ability of ftl travel therefore trapping any survivors of the war on colony worlds separated by the vastness of space. it is unknown if the Haakonish survived the age of shadows but if they did this second invasion by the Shakturi could end their species.
