- I've been wanting to study those Crawback creatures that you first encountered in the Charred Forest, and I hear they've spread around the Ridgeback Highlands as well. They're quick to attack, so it's dangerous work collecting specimens from them, though I was hoping you'd be up to the challenge to help me in my studies. What do you say {player}?
- Thankfully, Otto in the Victory Labs has copied some Electroneer records on native animals for me, to help identify which creatures these mimics are resembling. According to the records, the native crayfish were a lot smaller than the Crawback mimics. Obviously a larger size is more useful for attacking humans, so it's not surprising that the Mimic variety is so large.
- Hello again, {player}. The Crawback claws resemble the claws of some native creatures that once lived in our streams and our oceans. We haven't seen any there for decades though – the Manglers have exterminated most of the native life in Blueridge River, and a thick cloud of Haze has settled over the oceans as far as we can see.
