| abstract | - Charles "Chuckie" Meachum was a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division for five years, and Harry Bosch became acquainted with him. He retired in April of 1991 following the airing of the Holliday Video of the Rodney King assault, and took a position as the assistant director of security at Archway Pictures. In October of 1995, he met LAPD detectives Bosch and Kizmin Rider, and accompanied them on a search of Anthony Aliso's office at Archway. He also provided Bosch with security camera video of a break-in that occurred at Aliso's office shortly after Aliso's body was discovered.
