Showing his worth in the academy, Kiba began to open up the pool of teaching for Sai and Kukomaru. However, while doing a small sparing session, Sai and Kukomaru had already displayed the ability to use the Fang Passing Fang. Sai explained that it didn't apply any level science to achieve, and that he had many more tricks up his sleep. Even within the village, the academy instructor gave him the name, Sai the Human Wolf, a name at which he cherishes the same as his brother, Kukomaru.
