  • Identity is a concept that is never set in stone. To consider one's state as permanent is a lie people have come up with to fulfill their own fantasies, but inwardly, all know that this identity is a product of select grooming, and may effortlessly transform in a heartbeat. For someone with the ability to manipulate the formlessness of the world, identity is nothing more than a fleeting thing indeed. Nevertheless, due to Zenmu's inherent lack of malevolence, he rarely uses this to cause any lasting harm, but rather, uses it simply for minor mischief.

Every Gen is noted to possess its own willpower, a source which it is drawn from — an identity. By manipulating the spiritual energy of the world and drawing a connection between Zenmu's soul and a specific Gen's core, it is possible for Zenmu to outright fabricate his identity: the perfect illusion, one might say. Of course, being a part of the spiritual world, this identity is by no means permanent and will be cut off when Zenmu desires it to be. Moreover, despite being able to shroud oneself in another Gen and near-flawlessly replicate identities, those with the ability to perceive the soul are immune to any physical or mental changes that Chōgen might apply to Zenmu's figure, making it a technique that can only be broken by the enlightened. Nevertheless, due to Zenmu's inherent lack of malevolence, he rarely uses this to cause any lasting harm, but rather, uses it simply for minor mischief.
