Depending on the size of the Enerugī, they are able to carry different items. Kenpachi also uses these creatures as messengers and even trust the insects to do medical surgeries. The larger the size the more they are able to carry. During the Fourth Shinobi War many Enerugī were sent to collect chakra and most of them were smallest Enerugī due to the fact they would be less likely to be found. Due to the fact these creatures have no brains and are creature that just follow instructions, similar to Guruguru. They are not affected by genjutsu including Infinite Tsukuyomi. Before Kenpachi was trapped in Infinite Tsukuyomi, Dr. Kairo had set the Enerugī to retrieve doujutsu eyes they could possibly find and replace it with fake eyes the he created. He hit the jackpot by getting the Legendary eyes of Madara Uchiha, switching the eyes after his death, when the Tailed beast were in the Chibaku Tensei and Sakura and Kakashi were to drain to notice.
