abstract | - The Neverland Jungle is a part of J.M. Barrie's fictional world Neverland from the Peter Pan stories. It is where Peter Pan and the Lost Boys live. The jungle is described as a "tropical area". Peter Pan and the Lost Boys live "right in the middle". The ground is sandy and there are large plants with enourmous leaves. It is also "filled with grotesque reptiles and repulsive insects". In Beyond the Kingdoms, Alex, Conner, Mother Goose, Lester, and Red travel into the story and into Neverland in persuit of the Masked Man. They are accompanied by the Tin Woodman from Oz. They meet Peter Pan, who quickly joins their cause. Red stays behind in Neverland after the others leave to follow the Masked Man into the next book. She is to guard the portal book and take care of the Lost Boys. They build her a "spacious underground home" in the jungle, and craft a lounge chair from palm trees. She eventually leaves Neverland with the Lost Boys to return to the Land of Stories to find her lost fiancé Froggy.
