That is what the problem was. Delphox is still being looked after by Nurse Joy. Everyone is asleep. You have been out for about 16 hours. It’s sunrise now. Ryan: “WHAT!?” Ryan: “What caused the strain in the first place?” Jon: You. More accurately, your ambition. Ryan: “What do you mean? Is that supposed to imply I’m working Delphox too hard? I mean, if I am it’s good you’re telling me, but why would it strain us the way it did?” Jon: When you lost Vivillon in the gym battle, what were you feeling? From looking at you, you looked angry and determined to win, and Delphox wanted to live up to your standards. She pushed herself too hard to make sure that you were happy, which then caused the strain. Ryan: “Oh no, I didn’t mean to make her think she had to do that to herself!” Ryan: “I’ve got to set things right!” Jon: Delphox is sleeping. Nurse Joy said that Delphox was fine, but she won’t be able to leave till tomorrow. When you access the Ryan-Delphox form, your emotions are linked. So when you wanted to beat Olympia, Delphox felt it too. When the others get up, why not have the tag battle? Ryan: “Maybe.” Ryan: “This is all my fault! I should’ve known Delphox had the wrong impression! I could have avoided this whole mess!” Jon: You don’t need to be sad about it Ryan. I’m talking from experience. The other day was the only time Typhlosion and I didn’t faint. The first time we were able to access the full form, or the complete form. Ryan (Voice shaky): “Yeah, but I still feel guilty about it.” Jon: Hmm. I understand. I’m going to go for a jog. Clear my mind a bit. See you later. Ryan: “Hey guys.” Maria: What’s up? Ryan: “Guilt towards Delphox about what happened yesterday.” Anthony: Ah, I see. Ryan: “Don’t start with me.” Lilly: “What’s his problem?” Lilly: “Why?” Maria: Because of the strain he put on Delphox. Let’s get breakfast. Ryan: “Lilly, I’m sorry, but it’s the only way I can think of to make myself feel better.” Lilly: “OW! What the hell was that for!?” Ryan: “Sorry, it was a combination of being mad at you and finding you annoying.” Maria: Where is Jon? Ryan (mouth full): “Out for a jog apparently.” Kyle: Another jog? He’s been doing them a lot recently. Jon: Breakfast, looks nice. Jon: Oh dear. Did you annoy Ryan again? Ryan (Mouth full): “I apologized!” Ryan: “I think we’re ready for that tag-team battle now.” Lily: “Yeah, and I’ll kick your butt in it!” Anthony: I’ll be on Lilly’s team. Jon: And I’ll go with Ryan. Jon: Right, Frogadier I choose you! Ryan: “Come on out Vivillon!” Frogadier/Vivillon (in unison): Dier/Viv!” Anthony: Staravia, let’s show them what we've got! Anthony sends out Staravia. Jon: A Staravia and a Raichu. Ryan: “This isn’t gonna be easy for me. Delphox was one of the strongest on my team. But never mind, you ready to do this Jon? Jon: You had to ask? Anthony: Now, Echoed Voice! Jon: Dark Pulse! Ryan: “Umm….Supersonic Poison?” Ryan: “Huh. Didn’t expect that to actually work the way it did.” Jon: Now Ice Beam at Staravia! Lily: “Thundershock!” Ryan: “Kind of like what happens with Supersonic and Swift.” Anthony: Toxic! Ryan: “String Shot!” Anthony: Aerial Ace! Jon: You okay Frogadier? Jon: That’s good. Ryan: “Jon, what attacks do Vivillon and Frogadier have that mix well together?” Jon: Well what moves does Vivillon know? Ryan: “Poison Powder, Struggle Bug, String Shot and Supersonic.” Anthony: Use Facade! Jon: Oh no! Dodge it! Staravia uses Facade on Frogadier, causing a lot of damage. Frogadier gets up, staggering a little. Jon: Facade. A move which deals double the power if the Pokemon is poisoned, burnt or paralysed. Ryan: “Are you okay Frogadier?” Lily (before Frogadier can reply): “Volt Tackle!” Vivillon is okay, but has taken damage. Vivillon, Staravia and Raichu take poison damage. Ryan: “String Shot!” Vivillon shoots String Shot in Raichu’s direction. Raichu dodges. Lilly: “Thunder Wave!” Jon: Now we can’t risk using Scald or Water Pledge. Anthony: Facade! Ryan: “String Shot.” Lily: “Finish Frogadier with Quick Attack!” Jon: That’s how we do it. Wait a minute. Ryan, get Vivillon to hit Ice Beam with Supersonic! Jon: Now, that’s how to do it! Anthony: Echoed Voice! Lilly: “Thundershock!” Maria: We best be off. Jon: Yeah. It was good meeting you Anthony. Ryan: “When will we meet again?” Jon: The Pokemon League. Maybe before if our paths cross. But the Pokemon league for sure. Kyle: See you! Narrator: After losing to Olympia, Ryan realised what was the problem with the Ryan-Delphox form. Then, Jon, Ryan, Lilly and Anthony had a tag battle, with Anthony and Lilly being the victors. Now, Jon, Maria and Kyle leave the Pokemon Center, continuing their journey.
