Messix fought in several battles during the Clone Wars successfully, and became a true supported of the Confederate cause. After the rise of the Galactic Empire, he became a bounty hunter. Not really caring for anyone, he made a good bounty hunter, and looked for ways to strike back at the Empire, which he viewed as another version of the Republic. Messix joined the Bounty Hunter's Guild, and worked with a partner. That was why he joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic in 2 BBY. He served the Alliance up until after the Battle of Endor, when he left them to pursue his own interests.
