| abstract | - Theed University was constructed sometime after the city's founding circa 832 BBY. Located near the Royal Palace, the university served the citizens of Theed for decades, producing well-educated individuals to work as politicians, legislators, lawyers, and many other fulfilling careers. During his youth, future Galactic Emperor and Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious, known then as Palpatine, attended the university. Palpatine was expelled from the institution following a string of petty offences that would have involved the law, were it not for his father's intervention. Later, the president of the Refugee Relief Movement, Ruwee Naberrie would serve as a frequent guest lecturer, teaching economics course periodically. In recent years starting with reign of Queen Avodale more emphasis has been placed on funding and projects. One such project pairing gifted aerospace students with Sieanr and Theed Engineering Corporation to help Naboo and Nubia StarDrives produce their new lines of star ships. Many of the Monarch Senators and other notable Naboo citizens graduated from Theed University including the previous Queen of Naboo Queen Avodale and the current Queen Avonleyh. As the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Invasion of Naboo by the Trade Federation approaches the University is Center of many preparations. And is currently part of an exciting lecture series on galactic history done by Cleren Joicy.
