  • Runa Wildlough was the daughter of Alem Mossguard, wife to Corriam Wildlough, sister-in-law to High Queen Rhulain Wildlough, and ancestor to Banjon Wildlough and Tiria Wildlough. She found the body of a wounded otter, Corriam Wildlough. Although Alem disapproved of it, she spent a long time caring for him. When he recovered, he explained how he had been stranded after the death of his sister, High Queen Rhulain Wildlough. Runa's love for Corriam was stronger than Alem's dislike, so she and Corriam married and moved to Redwall Abbey. They had children and grandchildren, which were presumably the ancestors of Banjon and Tiria Wildlough.

Corriam preceded Runa in death, and she bequeathed his tremendous lance and the Rhulain's coronet to Sister Geminya. Runa also dictated the story of her life to Geminya, who recorded it in Tales of Ancient Life under the pseudonym of Minegay. Runa lived in the time shortly after the events of Salamandastron, as Corriam mentioned to her that the Badger Lord Urthwyte the Mighty was the ruler of Salamandastron.
