- Actor Simon Chadwick (born 29th July 1969 in Manchester), has appeared on Coronation Street in two minor roles: firstly in August 2009 as the Solicitor from whom Steve and Becky McDonald sought legal advice following a drugs charge set-up engineered by DC Hooch, returning to the programme in November 2010 as Army officer Captain David Barden who informed Eddie and Anna Windass that their son Gary had been injured on his tour of duty in Afghanistan. Other TV and film credits include roles in Between the Lines, Underworld, Picking up the Pieces, Brookside, Coupling, The Bill, Family Affairs, Holby City, The Sarah Jane Adventures, Doctors, Centurion and Inside Men. He also appeared in the hit stage play Corrie! which premiered in August 2010.
