His mother made him a training room, because at the time he was the only warrior. After 9 years of training, Trunks had achieved super Saiyan 2. Trunks had finally stepped outside for the first time in 7 years into the now repaired city. He then found out through intense research, that the wizard Bibidi had came to earth. He had heard of the legend of Buu from Tapion, the one who gave him his sword. So he knew what was in store. He returned home and trained, finally achieving ultimate Super-Saiyan 2. He became the legend of his time. He went to the tournament as a spectator to see the world's strongest man under the heavens to see who could help him. Spovavich still came in search of energy and fought Videl. Supreme Kai came as well and watched. Kibito noticed the M on Spovavich's head and got into a state of shock. Trunks realized it too.
