The citizens of The Silver Spires work diligently to produce Water and Uranium as tradable resources for their nation. It is an aggressive country that some say has an itch for war. It believes nuclear weapons are necessary for the security of its people. The military of The Silver Spires has been positioned at all border crossings and is arresting all drug traffickers. The Silver Spires allows its citizens to protest their government but uses a strong police force to monitor things and arrest lawbreakers. It has an open border policy, but in order for immigrants to remain in the country they will have to become citizens first. The Silver Spires believes in the freedom of speech and feels that it is every citizen's right to speak freely about their government. The government gives foreign aid when it can, but looks to take care of its own people first. The Silver Spires will not make deals with another country that has a history of inhuman treatment of its citizens. The Silver Spires, Spires for short, is a democratic union of German states and its capital is Frankfurt am Main (english: "Franfurt on the Main", pronounced like "mine"). The head of government is TheMaskedLord, an evil machiavellian rationalist, pesky humanist and dreaded liberal. There is also a rumour that he has nasty lefist leanings, but TheMaskedLord refutes that and characterizes himself as a centrist. The opposition is not convinced, but then again, they are drunk most of the time. The name "Silver Spires" is usually attributed to the skyline of Frankfurt am Main, but some claim that whoever was responsible for choosing that name was incredibly drunk, lazy and uninspired. This nation is totally unrelated to British travel agencies, boarding schools and Canadian congregations of similar names.
