The original edition was announced on October 25th, 2011; the game's first trailer was released on November 2nd, 2011, at 4:00 PM GMT. The game was initially slated for a Spring 2013 release, but was pushed to September 17th the same year. Then, on July 15th, 2013, Rockstar announced the Japanese release date for the game: October 10th, 2013, almost a month after it was released in the West. The enhanced edition was announced on June 9th, 2014, with pre-orders made available on June 10. Grand Theft Auto V is set circa 2013 in the city of Los Santos and its surrounding areas and tells the stories of three protagonists: Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton, and Trevor Philips. It takes place about five years after the events of Grand Theft Auto IV, and four years after the events of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. Il giocatore può effettuare combo nei combattimenti, sferrare pugni e calci, utilizzare figure geometriche e attrezzature di tecnica (ad esempio il compasso, il curvilinee, il micrometro ecc.) per combattere i nemici, può correre, saltare e nuotare. Sono presenti tre tipi di modalità per mirare i nemici: automatica, semi-automatica o manuale. Quando verrete feriti, noterete un differente sistema di salute, quest'ultima potrà rigenerarsi fino al 50%, ma avrete bisogno di kit medici (ciòè fogli da disegno) per ripristinare al 100% la salute del vostro personaggio. L'obiettivo principale del gioco è quello di completare le missioni per proseguire e sbloccare nuovi contenuti attraverso la storia, molto simile ad altri giochi open world, queste missioni possono essere completate a piacere del giocatore. Se il giocatore commette atti illeciti durante il gioco, le forze dell'ordine del gioco possono rispondere, quest'ultimi sono rappresentati da stelline visualizzabili in alto a destra dello schermo, ad esempio: se si avranno 4 stelle gli sforzi compiuti dalle forze dell'ordine diventeranno molto aggressivi e per il giocatore sarà più difficile seminare i poliziotti rispetto a quando si avrà una sola stellina. Ci sono 5 Stelle di Ricercato e non 6 come in alcuni precedenti GTS (ad esempio Vice City). Inoltre è stata introdotta per la prima volta nella serie la presenza di animali tra cui cani, coyote, linci, wapiti e molti altri animali selvatici. La modalità single-player di Grand Theft Spalato V è giocata attraverso tre giocatori controllabili: nteragendo con il mondo di gioco, il giocatore può passare da un protagonista all'altro a volontà, mediante una bussola direzionale sul HUD. Gaetano corrisponde al punto nord, Francesco ad ovest, Alfonso ad est, e il giocatore personalizzato creabile nel multiplayer a sud. È possibile cambiare personaggio ogni volta che si desidera usando l'apposito menù. Quando si cambia personaggio, la visuale si sposta in alto in stile Google Earth, zoomando poi verso la locazione del personaggio scelto. Quando un protagonista non è sotto il controllo del giocatore, si occuperà automaticamente di alcuni suoi impegni giornalieri e si scoprirà in cosa si stava cimentando solo nel momento in cui il giocatore ne riprende il controllo. Ogni personaggio ha i propri soldi, figure geometriche, rifugi, armi, automobile (che ritroverà sempre al rifugio, anche se il giocatore la lascia in giro per la città), beni materiali, minigiochi e missioni, ma è possibile che i protagonisti s'incontrino in alcune di queste. Durante le missioni in cui sono presenti almeno 2 dei tre personaggi, il giocatore può cambiare personaggio attraverso un menù radiale, e la transizione avviene in maniera immediata. In questo modo si può gestire la missione da diverse prospettive, per esempio si possono eliminare nemici all'esterno dell'edificio utilizzando il personaggio che si trova all'esterno, per poi ritornare all'interno utilizzando il secondo personaggio. Ogni protagonista è dotato di un'abilità speciale utilizzabile per pochi secondi, ad esempio, Spalato ha l'abilità speciale di rallentare il tempo mentre lancia alla gente delle figure geometriche per fare il figo. Durante il tempo libero è possibile fare diverse attività secondarie come la corsa in Jet Ski, il triathlon, corse in bicicletta, battute di caccia nei boschi e il paracadutismo ma sono presenti anche minigiochi come il calibro e il micrometro. In GTS V è tornato il cellulare, al cui interno sono presenti diverse applicazioni utili. Non si ricevono più chiamate dagli amici in continuazione, inoltre alcune funzionalità non sono più presenti, in quanto trasferite direttamente sulla mappa a differenza di GTS IV. Ogni personaggio è dotato di un proprio smartphone che può essere utilizzato per contattare amici, impegnarsi in attività, e accedere a Internet dove è possibile anche acquistare veicoli e alle e-mail, sono disponibili anche vari social network simili a Facebook e Twitter, ad esempio LifeInvader. È stata introdotta anche la possibilità di modificare e potenziare le armi: aggiungere puntatori laser, silenziatori, caricatori, luci tattiche e ottiche, inoltre, si possono anche modificare i veicoli: applicare carrozzerie, livree e aerografie, nuovi cerchioni, tinte ai finestrini, spoiler, griglie, tubi di scarico, colore del fumo dei pneumatici, parabufali, luci extra e molti altri accessori, oppure personalizzare la targa, ci sono più di 1.000 modifiche in totale. Come nei precedenti GTS, si può personalizzare il proprio personaggio acquistando nuovi abiti, cambiare taglio di capelli, applicare tatuaggi, e indossare gioielli. GTA Online è stato rilasciato il 1º ottobre 2013, al momento del lancio sono stati riscontrati vari problemi, malfunzionamenti e bug, in seguito corretti attraverso varie patch rilasciate da Rockstar Games, l'ultima patch rilasciata è la 1.13. La trama di GTA Online è impostata due mesi prima degli eventi del single-player. Nel periodo che va da novembre 2013 a metà gennaio 2014, GTA Online è stato soggetto di hack da parte di alcuni giocatori. Questi hanno iniziato, con aiuto di exploit, a distribuire quantità spropositate di denaro, sotto forma di donazioni o taglie imposte su altri giocatori, (superando di gran lunga il miliardo) a giocatori casuali che non hanno potuto fare altro che tenerseli e iniziare a spenderli. Ciò ha causato un grosso sbilancio nell'economia del gioco, cosa non positiva per l'intrattenimento del giocatore. Gli hacker erano, talvolta, facilmente riconoscibili nelle partite poiché erano riusciti ad incrementarsi, sempre utilizzando metodi di hack, il livello del proprio giocatore fino a raggiungere il rango 1000; in alcuni casi essi erano anche riusciti ad incrementare la salute del giocatore talmente tanto che esso risultava immortale. Il 15 gennaio 2014, la Rockstar Games pone finalmente la parola fine a questo periodo grazie ad una manutenzione improvvisa, annunciata solo il giorno prima, del comparto online di Grand Theft Auto V che era rivolta al miglioramento dei sistemi di sicurezza, alla rimozione di tutti i soldi generati dagli hacker e al ban di quest'ultimi: nonostante ciò tutto quello che i giocatori sono riusciti a comprare con i soldi regalati rimarrà di loro proprietà.[3] Caratteristiche: Uomo quasi sovrappeso come il figlio Jimmy ma anche molto palestrato nel tennis e nelle azioni furtive, ha un carattere molto altalenante, passa dall'essere un uomo scoraggiato, depresso e indeciso nelle situazioni familiari più difficili a essere un uomo molto carismatico e deciso nelle situazioni con i suoi amici, come le rapine. Nonostante questo suo comportamento, è un padre premuroso e gentile, cosa non ripagata dai suoi figli; la sua velocità nel nuoto è molto utile nelle competizioni di Triathlon. Un pazzo, violento e sociopatico tossicodipendente canadese di 45 anni, ex veterano della guerra fredda e con esperienze di volo, vive in una roulotte a Sandy Shores, cittadina della località desertica di Blaine County. Prima di trasferirsi a Sandy Shores, Trevor era un noto rapinatore nel North Yankton insieme all'amico Michael (all'epoca Michael Townley) e al complice Brad Snider. A causa di una rapina finita male in un deposito della cittadina di Ludendorff, dove Michael è rimasto ferito e Brad ucciso (anche se a sua insaputa), Trevor si è trovato costretto a scomparire dalla circolazione, facendo credere a tutti che fosse morto. Trasferitosi a Sandy Shores, fonda la "Trevor Philips Enterprises" insieme agli amici Ron Jakowski e Wade Herbert, società che si occupa della produzione e dello spaccio di metanfetamina e in seguito, se il giocatore acquista il McKenzie Airfield, di armi. Nel corso della storia si farà molti nemici, tra cui la pericolosa organizzazione militare della Merryweather, il boss messicano della droga del Cartello Martin Madrazo (a cui rapirà la moglie) e gli spacciatori di metanfetamina locali: i fratelli O'Neil e i Lost MC di Los Santos. Ultimo dei tre protagonisti giocabili dopo Franklin e Michael e ricorda l'immagine di The Truth, un noto personaggio apparso in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Caratteristiche: Nonostante il dimagrimento eccessivo, e anche grazie al passato da militare, Trevor possiede un fisico allenato e in genere una passione per la violenza e le bevande alcoliche, carattere molto odioso ma avvolte anche impressionante; è in grado di sorprendere un nemico con la sua forza e con la sua pazzia. È un uomo trascurato, e si può vedere sia dal modo in cui si veste e anche da come è sporco da tutte le parti, più visibile in faccia e nelle parti inferiori del corpo. Anche se a prima vista può sembrare un pazzo scatenato, in realtà è un uomo molto fedele all'amicizia ed è molto leale con i suoi amici e con la sua famiglia, ribaltando addirittura completamente la sua figura in alcune occasioni, dimostrandosi alla fine come il più leale dei tre. Un ragazzo afro-americano, sui 25 anni, che lavora per la Premium Deluxe Motorsport, concessionario di lusso che vende automobili a chi non se le può permettere, e quando i clienti non riescono a pagare i debiti, Franklin ha il compito di recuperare le auto con gli interessi. Franklin è un membro delle Famiglie di Chamberlain Hills, un set delle allora Famiglie di Grove Street; sentendosi trascurato dagli OG (i membri "anziani" della gang), insieme all'amico Lamar, ha creato una gang tutta sua: i Gangsta Forum, un altro sottogruppo delle famiglie dei Chamberlain Hills. Insieme a Lamar, Franklin sarà coinvolto in vari affari riguardanti droga insieme ai loro rivali, i Ballas, con i quali avranno cruente sparatorie. Poi, però, Franklin deciderà di allontanarsi dalla vita da gangster di strada e di ladro d'auto facendosi fare da mentore da Michael e diventando anche lui un rapinatore di successo. Alla fine dovrà decidere se uccidere Michael o Trevor o fare una follia e salvarli entrambi. Franklin è il primo protagonista giocabile, e ricorda vagamente CJ. Caratteristiche: Un giovane ragazzo molto audace dal fisico scolpito e una guida da cecchino, Franklin esegue più commissioni rispetto a Michael e Trevor ma molti difetti sono presenti anche in lui, ad esempio non può nuotare veloce come farebbero gli altri due e ha poca abilità nell'essere furtivo, ma in compenso ha un carattere rispettoso e altre volte agitato, ma si nota che è sempre sottomesso dai due, e il suo comportamento non sorprende più di tanto. Sarà costretto a mandare in fallimento la Premium Deluxe Motorsport e lasciare la sua quotidiana vita da gangster in modo da mettersi completamente al servizio di Michael e Trevor come apprendista rapinatore, va molto d'accordo con Jimmy, il figlio di Michael.

Het spel is ontwikkeld door Rockstar North en kwam op 17 september 2013 uit voor de PlayStation 3 en Xbox 360. Het spel maakt gebruik van de door Rockstar Games ontwikkelde RAGE-engine, die ook voor de voorloper van Grand Theft Auto V, Grand Theft Auto IV, werd gebruikt. De ontwikkelings- en marketingkosten van het spel bedroegen tussen de 200 en 265 miljoen euro, wat Grand Theft Auto V het duurste spel ooit maakt en het op één na duurste entertainmentproduct, enkel voorafgegaan door Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End met een budget van rond de 300 miljoen euro. Op de eerste dag van release bracht het spel 800 miljoen op; na drie dagen bereikte GTA V de één miljard dollargrens, een recordgetal.

Eine frühere Interpretation von Los Santos und San Andreas findet sich bereits in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004), das in der dritten „Ära“ spielt. Rockstar zufolge ist Grand Theft Auto V das bis dato größte Open-World-Spiel der Welt. Es konzentriert sich auf „die Jagd nach dem allmächtigen Dollar“, was sich auch im Logo des Spiels wiederspiegelt: Bei dem großen „V“ mit der Banderole „FIVE“ handelt es sich um einen stilisierten Teil einer alten fünf-Dollar-Note. Grand Theft Auto V wurde am 25. Oktober 2011 offiziell angekündigt, jedoch wurde erst ein Jahr später der Veröffentlichungszeitraum (Oktober 2013) bekanntgegeben. Der Debüt-Trailer zu dem Spiel wurde am 2. November 2011 vorgestellt. Die erste Demo-Version des Spiels wurde der Presse am 11. Oktober 2012 vorgeführt. Am 31. Januar 2013 wurde das endgültige Veröffentlichungsdatum mit dem 17. September 2013 bekanntgegeben. Im Rahmen der Spielemesse E3 wurde Grand Theft Auto V am 09. Juni 2014 für PlayStation 4, Xbox One und PC angekündigt. Am 18. November 2014 wurden die Xbox One- und Playstation 4-Fassungen des Spiels veröffentlicht. Die PC-Version sollte ursprünglich laut Rockstar Games am 27. Januar 2015 erscheinen, sie wurde jedoch am 13. Januar 2015 auf den 24. März verschoben. Am 24. Februar 2015 wurde eine weitere Verschiebung der PC Version auf den 14. April 2015 angekündigt. Am 14. April 2015 erschien Grand Theft Auto V auch für den PC.

Gra została wydana 17 września 2013 roku na konsole PlayStation 3 oraz Xbox 360. Tytuł ten jest pierwszą od prawie pięciu lat samodzielną grą z serii – ostatnią taką grą było GTA: Chinatown Wars, wydane w marcu 2009 roku. Na targach E3 2014 zapowiedziano wersję na PlayStation 4, Xbox One oraz PC. Wersje na konsole obecnej generacji trafiły na sklepowe półki 18 listopada 2014 roku, natomiast na komputery z Windowsem GTA V zostało wydane 14 kwietnia 2015 roku. Gra zawiera elementy gier wyścigowych, przygodowych oraz gier akcji, podobnie jak reszta serii oferuje graczom otwarty świat gry. Akcja tytułu rozgrywa się w czasach współczesnych, w mieście Los Santos oraz Hrabstwie Blaine w fikcyjnym stanie San Andreas. Akcja gry rozgrywa się wokół trzech protagonistów – Franklina, Trevora oraz Michaela – oraz o ich wysiłkach, włożonych w przygotowanie i wykonanie sześciu napadów, wykonanych przez nich w celu szybkiego wzbogacenia się. Tytuł nie zawiera zintegrowanego trybu rozgrywki wieloosobowej, jego funkcję pełni usługa GTA Online, uruchomiona 1 października 2013 roku.

Il s'agit d'un jeu d'action-aventure en monde ouvert qui est commercialisé depuis le 17 septembre 2013 sur Xbox 360 et PlayStation 3. Il est également sorti au Japon le 10 octobre 2013. Le 9 juin 2014, durant l'E3 2014, il a été annoncé que Grand Theft Auto V sortira aussi sur Playstation 4, Xbox One et PC a l'automne 2014. Le 12 septembre 2014, Rockstar a annoncé la date de sortie de Grand Theft Auto V sur Playstation 4 et Xbox One pour le 18 novembre 2014. Toutefois pour la sortie de la version PC, Grand Theft Auto V est sorti le 14 avril 2015 au lieu du 27 janvier 2015. Le jeu est aussi lié à Grand Theft Auto Online, un jeu multijoueur sorti le 1er octobre 2013 qui se déroule dans le même lieu mais auquel les événements se déroulent avant ceux de GTA V. L'année 2011 avait été déclarée non-GTA year (« année sans GTA ») par le président de Take-Two Interactive, maison-mère de Rockstar Games qui édite le jeu. Il en était de même pour l'année 2012.

Es la segunda entrega de la saga para consolas de "última generación", con mejoras gráficas muy notables, un mundo Sandbox más grande y realista, motor físico anteriormente utilizado para GTA IV. Superó en una semana y media los mil millones de dólares acumulados, también nombrado el juego del año en primer lugar. La historia transcurre en la remodelada ciudad de Los Santos, donde Michael, Trevor y Franklin trabajan individualmente hasta que se cruzan sus vidas y empiezan a trabajar en equipo robando bancos o realizando trabajos para diversos personajes.
