The North Dakota State Bison men's basketball team will play their home games at the Scheels Arena for the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons whilst a new arena is refurbished [1] The Farmers Union Insurance Centre opens on June 2, 2016 as an additional part of the complex. Original plans (back in 2008) called for a 4 sheet facility but economic conditions necessitated a single sheet be constructed. The rink will be dedicated to youth hockey. Management of the facility believes this will be the final addition to the facility barring another donation.
