Carbuncle is also notable for having the second highest Magick stat (after Shiva) of all the Espers in the game, making its healing abilities especially potent when cast simultaneously on a group. It is considered superior to the Rank I Healing Esper White Hare due to having a stronger normal Cure, the ability to heal more than one target, and better overall stats for survivability, being able to either supplement or replace Penelo's healing effectively during stressful missions, provided it is well defended. Unfortunately, since it lacks immunities to any debuff, it is necessary to keep it out of reach from harmful status ailments like Silence or Disable.
