  • Benjamin Washington was born in Norfolk, Virginia in May 1986 to Samuel Thomas Sr. and Michelle Washington. He is the youngest of five children: Samuel Thomas Washington Jr. (b. 1978), Alexander John Washington (b.1980) twin sisters Abigail Faith Syndow and Hannah Grace Masters (b.1981). Banjamin's father is a retired US Army Ranger and his mother is a reporter for MSNBC. Being the proverbial "runt" of the Washington household, Benjamin was usually cast as the baby when it came to antics of his brothers and sisters. When Benjamin was three years old, his twin sisters painted him the color purple and tied him to a tree in the family's backyard. When Benjamin was five, his older brother Alexander "lost" him in a department store while the family was shopping for a Father's Day gift. But not everything was bad for Benjamin growing up. His idols were his father and oldest brother, both taught him about tradition and American Values. When Benjamin learned to fight, his oldest brother Samuel helped train him in boxing and wrestling. When it came to studies, Alexander would always be seen at the table helping the young Benjamin understand the knowledge he would need in life. And when the ladies started noticing young Benjamin, his sister's and mother gladly taught him how to impress and treat women. Through the thick and thin of Benjamin's life, his family was always a key point in the outcome of everything.
