rdfs:comment
  • Don Bailey is a former NASCAR driver from Brockway, PA. He competed in twelve Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning two top-tens. Bailey's debut came during the 1951 season, when his ten-race schedule allowed the driver to finish 47th in the year-end points. For the most part, Bailey's season was a success. He finished 14th at Dayton in his first race, setting the bar for a solid season. He finished in the top-fifteen in nine of his ten starts that year, racing to respectable finishes in big fields at Morristown and Thompson International Speedway. Bailey also grabbed two top-tens during that period: a career-best 4th place run at Rochester and an 8th place showing at Dayton.

Bailey also grabbed two top-tens during that period: a career-best 4th place run at Rochester and an 8th place showing at Dayton. Surprisingly, Bailey did not return to the circuit until a one-off appearance during the 1956 season at Daytona Beach. Starting 41st in the large field of seventy-six, Bailey just stayed out of trouble and drove to a mid-pack 35th place finish. His final career race would then come during the 1957 season, when he made his first career start at Langhorne. It was not the race Bailey was looking for, as a blown engine early in the event sidelined him to a 20th place finish.
